New Studios Happy Family touring plan

by on August 19, 2006

By popular demand, we’ve added a “Happy Family” touring plan for the Disney-MGM Studios. This plan includes specific advice for teens and older kids, and for parents with small children. The family stays together most of the day, including lunch and dinner, and splits up only when visiting attractions not appropriate for everyone. Every attraction in the plan is rated 3 stars or higher by the group visiting the attraction. Here’s the plan.

Disney Studios touring plans updated

by on August 18, 2006

We’ve updated the Disney-MGM Studios touring plans and cheat sheets to reflect the closing of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Millionaire’s closing may impact slightly how crowds tour the park. Taking this into account, we’ve proposed a new standard one-day plan for the park. This can be found in the list of Studios’ adult touring plans. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Tarps down at Seas

by on August 14, 2006

The big blue tarps have come down at the Living Seas revealing hard work done by imagineering to alter the large mural at the main entrance to the pavilion.

Pegs extend from the infished areas of the re-worked mural, suggested further additions. The reworking removed the likeness of the sunset on the ocean from the image and now the mural overall simply resembles waves or water.

The main entrance to the pavilion is still closed and guests will continue to use the exit to access the pavilion’s other areas (Turtle Talk with Crush and the observation decks) until the new Nemo ride is complete is the next few months.
