Too Small to See – Ends Run

The popular “Too Small to See” exhibit in Innoventions West has ended its run at Epcot. The exhibit is designed to tour to various science museums after its initial debut at Epcot. No word on what will be taking over that exhibition space.

Mickey Avenue to be rennovated

Rumors are circulating that Mickey Avenue at Disney MGM Studios will be closed off for guest access temporarily in the near future. The area is said to be rennovated and rethemed for the upcoming Toy Story Mania. Character meets and greets are said to be relocated in the process. We’ll keep you updated with where everyone ends up.

A sign of progress at Toy Story Mania

Disney has recently fild permits to begin the installation of show sets/scenery inside of the Toy Story Mania attraction building at Disney-MGM Studios. The new attraction will feature guest interaction in playing Midway games themed to various Toy Stiory characters. It is expected to open in early 2008.

Snack it to me!

An interesting tidbit about the Disney Dining Plan: The snack credit can be used to purchase a box of Entenmans doughnuts or a 1/2 gallon of milk at most resort giftshops. A dozen doughnuts and a 1/2 gallon of milk can make a quick breakfast in your room very easy and inexpensive for a few days.

Donald’s Breakfastosaurus to end

Donald’s Breakfastosaurus at Restaurantosaurus will end November 2nd, 2007. It will be replaced by a new character meal at the Tusker House restaurant. The Restuarantosaurus will continue operate operate as a counter service location for lunch and dinner.

Tusker House to Rennovation to become Buffet

The Tusker House restaurant (a guest favorite) in Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will be closed August 20th to November 17th, 2007, for rennovation to turn the location into a buffet restaurant featuring a character breakfast.

Safari Script/Vehicle Changes

The Kilimanjaro Safaris ride at Disney Animal Kingdom has instituted a change in the show. Mrs Jobson has been eliminated from the script and it is much more focused on the enjoyment of the animals around the vehicle – though the poacher storyline still exists.

Additionally, the vehicles themselves will debut an additional row of seating for guests increasing the ride’s capacity. The station gates have already been modified and the vehicles are nearing completion of the conversion.
