O Canada show changes

by on July 15, 2007

New details are available about the upcoming refurbishment of the “O Canada” 360 degree film in Epcot. The film will feature Martin Short as the on-screen narrator with Eva Avila (Canadian Idol season 4 winner) singing the theme song. At least 50% of the footage has been reshot to bring the film into the 21st century.

No word yet as to whether the refurbishment will also include reopening the shops on the upper level of the Canadian pavilion along the path to the theater.

More Animal Kingdom Lodge guest moves for July and August

by on July 13, 2007

In the next few days we expect to see Disney begin asking more guests with reservations at the Animal Kingdom Lodge to move to other properties. Families with July and August reservations seem to be affected most (we’ve not heard anything about September).

Many families will be asked to move to Saratoga Springs, and there’s always the option of cancelling the trip and getting a full refund on deposits. It’s not clear whether any other resorts are available. We’ve also heard that Jiko and Boma may still be open during the summer.
