Spaceship Earth has reached another milestone in its refurbishment and renovation project: the Mickey wand and stars have been completely removed.

There is some exterior work left to do, including the removal of the supports for the stars from the skin of the sphere as well as a general washing and polishing of the sphere.

But the structure really looks stunning thus far. Additionally, palm trees will be planted around the base of the building and the older oak trees removed to make Spaceship Earth look even taller. They will also soon be installing a new marquee and signage set for the attraction.
