Toon Town Playground refurb
The playground at Mickey’s Toon Town Fair will be closed for refurbishment May 5-15, 2008.
Nine Dragons refurbishment date change
The refurbishment of the Nine Dragons restaurant in Epcot has been pushed back to May 29 – November 30, 2008.
Cap’n Jack’s refurbishment
The Cap’n Jack’s restaurant at Downtown Disney will be closed for refurbishment May 12 – May 17, 2008.
Imagination overhaul earmarked
After months of rumors, we’ve heard from a fairly reliable source that the Imagination pavilion has been earmarked for a major renovation in the 2009 fiscal year, which begins this October. Details of the refurbishment are said to include a new show to replace the old Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, as well as a complete overhaul of the ride through attraction.
Toy Story Mania AP previews
Disney has sent out an email to annual passholders to notify them of a preview of the new ride on May 10-12 9am-7pm.
Tom Morrow 2.0 is gone
As part of the updates to Innoventions East and West recently, the little robot character of Tom Morrow 2.0 has been removed. An overall retheme of the area appears to be in progress.
Fanastic Plastic closes in Innoventions
The long time occupant and fan favorite of Innoventions East, Fantastic Plastic Works, has ceased operation.

The area will become part of a new exhibit for Innoventions, possibly expanding to reclaim some of the unused space where the old Backstage Magic and Epcot Computer Central show used to be.

Jr Chef Ends
The Jr Chef experience at Epcot has ceased operation early this month. Nestle has reportedly decided not to continue the sponsorship and the area will be used for more seating at the Sunshine Seasons restaurant.
New Tomorrowland Speedway vehicles coming soon
The Tomorrowland Speedway has recently been researching a new high-tech alternative to their gas guzzling vehicles. Gas electric hybrids were tested on the track after hours. The staff of the attraction has been notified that they will be trained on the new vehicles in the coming weeks and then a full replacement of the fleet should occur relatively soon.
Typhoon Lagoon at capacity
A quick reminder, during the busy summer season the water parks at Walt Disney World are prone to capacity closures in the mornings. Recently Typhoon Lagoon has closed on several days. The parks usually reopen from capacity closure by 2pm and return to normal operation.
