Our family is planning a trip for Thanksgiving week or Spring Break week. I realize the days after Thanksgiving will be crowded, but I was hoping the days up to it wouldn’t be so bad. All of my researh so far has shown that Thanksgiving is better than spring break (third week in March). But after looking at the crowd calendar, I’m not sure anymore. Does anyone have experience with either of these weeks? Thanks!
A few years ago we traveled on Thanksgiving and stayed for the week afterwards. It was great! A little crowded the Friday and Saturday after the holiday but very light crowds from then on. As an added bonus they started putting up all the Christmas decorations and they were lovely. Besides October, I think this was my favorite time to visit.
Thank you for the info. We’re planning on being there the week before, so I hope the crowds are lighter those days before the long holiday weekend!
We were there the week before Thanksgiving in 2008. The crowds were light until the Sunday right before the holiday. It was pretty crowded from that day forward.
My family and I arrived Thanksgiving day 2007 and stayed the entire week after, and I can tell you Thanksgiving day, that Friday and Saturday were an absolute mad house at all the parks!!!!! I will never go again that week. The following week was very relaxed and really didn’t even use the Fast Passes!!! It was very nice that 2nd week.
