  • Just a thought on the Dining Plan, instead of taking the money and paying for the plan, I guess people could use the money and buy one of those VISA/MC money card and use that for meals – that way folks know what they have in the bank for food and will, if you guys are right, save some dough. In any event, my motivation for the DDP (besides being a newbee) – I just don’t want to have to think about money – except for booze and tax and tips.

    Thank you for a website that invests the time and energy to allow Disney guests to have all the information they need in front of them to make decisions that best fit their personal needs.
    As others have said, I always find it best to run all the numbers first, even when a plan has worked for us over prior visits.
    Besides, we’ve had so much fun checking menus and thinking about what to order and adding up prices…lessons on so many levels for the family budget as well as a fun way to sneak in life skills. 🙂
    My daughter says that having a plan (or a map) means we’re free to wander and explore, but not having a plan (or a map) means we’re lost. Big difference.
