As we say in England, this is about as useful as a chocolate teapot!

Once you are in the park they should have wait time boards up like they do in Epcot. The point of this info should be to help people judge which park to go to more than what ride to go queue for next.

Perhaps they are worried people will see the 2 hour wait for Splash Mountain and go to Universal instead

When they say “in the parks,” I wonder if they mean in specifically the parks, on anywhere at WDW resort. I could see the usefulness of having the Fastpass and wait time info available even from your Disney resort hotel room, it could help you decide which park to visit next and where to head after you enter.

Not very impressed when I found the details here. It would be more beneficial to see what is going on at all 4 parks and 2 water parks at one time for that cost. You can just walk to the tip board to find that information!

At first I was turned off by the expiration of the app, but on second I don’t think I would even need it for six months. I would basically only need it for the time I am at the park. Which for me would only be one week. After that it would be useless. I would never return within 6 months or even 12 months. I equate it to renting a stroller. I need it while in the park, but who needs a huge blue bulldozer at home?

9.99 for a 6-month license to an app that’s crippled once you leave the park? I have an iPhone, but even if I were Verizon, I’d pass.

I’m not surprised that it’s park-only. The Kim Possible infrastructure seems to be Verizon hardware, but Disney managed data. I would be willing to bet a small amount of money that this app will use the same systems, so you need to be in range of the special Disney towers to have the data available to you.

I would further bet that we’ll be able to rent a Mobile Magic phone (probably the exact same model as the Kim-unicator) in-park.

No, I won’t be paying $10 for a 6 month license. I might pay $10 for a perpetual license, maybe.
