Disney frequently announces admission price hikes in the first week of August.  We’re not sure of the exact date, but we think it’s likely Disney will raise their ticket prices relatively soon.

If you’re definitely visiting Walt Disney World later this year, buying admission now might allow you to save 3-10% off the cost of tickets.  For some multi-day trips, that’s enough to pay for a nice meal.   Use our Ticket Calculator to find the best bargains, before prices go up.

  • Do you know if they announce annual pass price increases this week, too? I bought my vouchers last week assuming that they do, but now I’m second guessing myself.

  • What if we have purchased a Magic Your Way Package for later this fall? Will our package price go up; or will we get the same price for tickets we were quoted months ago when we reserved?

  • According to mousesavers.com, annual passes and ticket prices usually go up the first Sunday in August, which would be this weekend.

I’m not 100% sure about package prices, but I would assume that as long as you put down a deposit, they can’t change the price on you.

But this leaves me with just 48 hours to decide if I want to buy a 7 day park hopper or an AP/TiW combo for my trip in October. Time to break out the excel spreadsheet…

  • Thank you touringplans for the ticket calculator! I had no idea that it was even possible to buy WDW tickets from a 3rd party vendor…I saved $72 on 2 10-day no expiration tickets by buying them from undercouvertourist.com.

This won’t help anyone trying to get their tickets before the price increase, but it might help some with future purchases. Mousesavers.com has a monthly newsletter to which you can subscribe. Every newsletter includes a special link to undercovertourist.com that has a further discount on their ticket price. It’s not a huge amount, but every little bit counts. :)

      • I bought 7-day park hoppers through this discount and saved $19 per ticket vs. Disney prices. Not a bad deal! I just wish they sold APs.

The Disney Blog just posted ticket increases for WDW and Disnetland. They say the increases will go into effect on August 5th, so now is the time folks.
