March at the Walt Disney World Resort is full of exciting events! There is something for everyone; whether guests are sports fans, nature lovers, or just enjoy a fun party.

Atlanta Braves Spring Training
Each Spring, the Atlanta Braves hold their training at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. Their pre-season games are held at Disney, and throughout Florida during the entire month. Crowds will not be affected, but you may notice lots of Braves fans in the parks and resorts. Anyone wanting to attend a game can find the schedule here and purchase tickets here.

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
March 2nd-May 15 brings the Flower & Garden Festival to Epcot. Displays, exhibits, and events are held around the park daily. Make sure to check out TouringPlans.com’s previous post for more information on the festival.

March 8 is Mardi Gras. Disney World does not have any special Mardi Gras events, however, the resort will be more crowded due Louisiana school closures and families trying to get away for a quick trip. Those looking for Mardi Gras activities may want to check out the nearby Universal Orlando Resort.

St. Patrick’s day is March 17. While there are not many celebrations that day around the resort, guests can still find a great party at Downtown Disney’s Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant. For only $10 (children under 18 are free), party-goers can enjoy a full day of live Irish music and dancing. The pub also has a full bar, specializing in Irish whiskey’s and beers.

Spring Break Season
It is that time of year again. The staggered wave of spring break’s of schools across the country begin March 12 and continue through the end of April. Be ready for high crowd levels if visiting the parks during this time. Be sure to check the Crowd Calendar and be ready with Touring Plans to help ensure a fun vacation despite the crowds.
