Disney Imagineers have been hard at work on the renovated Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room at the Magic Kingdom park to prepare for the August 15h reopening. However, even busy imagineers need food breaks. During some test runs of the latest version of the show Imagineers let the show finish its automated run while heading out to grab some grub.
Apparently they didn’t realize the automated doors at the exit of the theater were about to open on the camera-ready fan who runs the Discussion Kingdom website.
So much to see! Chairs! Ladders! Someone’s igloo cooler! Most importantly though – what is that giant thing in the middle of the room where the fountain used to reside? Any guesses or insight? Special thanks to the Discussion Kingdom folks for letting us share this photo with all of you.
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room should be reopening in the Magic Kingdom on August 15, 2011, with a revitalized version of the classic show previously known as Tropical Serenade. Events surrounding that day should make for minor modifications to touring plans with extra crowds in Adventureland. As with all new attractions or reopening, there may be some downtime or unscheduled closures. Be sure to check back periodically throughout the day if it’s not open or the line is insanely long during the first few weeks of operation.
