Construction to Begin on Splitsville Replacing Virgin Megastore
New filings today: Hawkeye Construction of South Florida has filed paperwork (link) to install temporary barriers and begin the interior build-out of the building at 1494 East Buena Vista Dr., Lake Buena Vista, FL. That’s the address of the old Virgin Megastore in Downtown Disney West Side’s shopping/entertainment district.
As previously announced by Disney, that building is going to become a Splitsville bowling/dining/entertainment complex. The paperwork notes that the project is intended to be completed prior to December 2012. Expect to see refurbishment walls and heavy equipment in this area in the near future.
