Once again, friends, it’s time to take a look at the websites, podcasts and other Disney related enterprises that we sponsor here at TouringPlans.com. We call it our Friend Feed, but you can call it “those great guys that we know and love because Touring Plans told us they were awesome.” We’d appreciate that.
The WDW Today podcast was all about the listener questions this week. If you’ve heard the guys answering questions before, you’ll know what a good time it can be. On Wednesday’s show it was the full crew (Mike Scopa, Mike Newell, Len Testa, Annette Owens and Matt Hochberg) while on the Friday show, Matt and Newell recruited Babycakes GM Emily Woesthof and talented artist Chris Eliopoulos to help answer questions.
Speaking of mailbags, over on the other coast, Mousetalgia opened up the email inbox this week and took your questions about Disneyland. From touring to Ludwig Von Drake, the gang touches on it all in this week’s episode.
Did you hear about Disney’s new interactive in park game Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom? Lou Mongello did, and he discussed it this week on the WDW Radio Newscast. Watch the show to check out Lou’s take on the game as well as some interesting news about his 40 hour LIVE broadcast coming up from Walt Disney World.
If you’re looking for even more info on the Sorcerers of the Magic game, head over to Mouseplanet’s Walt Disney World Update, where Mark Goldhaber discusses that as well as the character dining coming to Tusker House for lunch.
When you go to Walt Disney World, it’s sometimes easy to forget the people who make the magic for you – the cast members. On an episode of the Be Our Guest Podcast this week, the panel took a look at the hardest working cast members in the world. This is definitely worth a listen, because it’s easy to forget about those who make the magic.
On Betamouse, it was one of their patented potpourri shows. Our own Henry Work and Katie Siloac, along with the rest of the panel, discussed some new tech news in the parks, such as the Haunted Mansion Augmented Reality App at Hong Kong Disneyland, plus Henry’s Instaparks feeds of Instagrams from all the parks. It’s a fantastic episode packed full of information.
Speaking of chock full of information, Disneyland Live has all the news about the fall at the Disneyland Resort. ElecTRONica is dark, Mickey’s Halloween Party is coming up and the Haunted Mansion Holiday is on the way. It’s that time of year, so check all the news on Disneyland Live.Dateline Disneyland this week takes a look at the newly crowned Carthay Circle Theatre in Disney California Adventure as well as the ending for the Carnation Plaza Gardens, as it gets ready to make way for the new Fantasy Faire project.
Far off the left coast, All Ears this week had a preview of Aulani, the new Disney Vacation Club resort in Hawaii. You can get this info and more great stuff from the All Ears Weekly Newsletter, so sign up today.
Wedway Radio this week features Matt and Nate touching on one of my favorite subjects, the Walt Disney Studio. The guys discuss The Reluctant Dragon, a 1941 film that gives the audience a look inside the studio.
And finally, while we’re talking about movies, on the Disney Film Project Podcast, Touring Plans blogger Todd Perlmutter and myself along with Todd’s wife Cheryl and our friend Briana join forces to review classic and new Disney films, and this week we take a look at Pete’s Dragon. Go check it out for a (hopefully) fun and informative look at Disney films.
