Be Our Guest Restaurant Menu Released

Who’s excited about the Be Our Guest Restaurant? I know I’ve been super stoked since Disney first announced it!

This week, Disney released some more information about what we all have to look forward to once this restaurant themed around the movie Beauty and the Beast officially opens in the New Fantasyland by the Holidays 2012.

Menu items for both lunch and dinner will have a sort of French flair to them.

First off, for lunch the restaurant will serve quick service meals; however, it will be with a twist. Guests will order their food at a terminal, then take a seat in the gorgeous restaurant’s dining area. Lunch will then be delivered to you and – much like the new Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – will be served using real silverware and china. No paper and plastic here!

Lunch dining options will include:

  • tuna Niçoise salad
  • Croque Monsieur (carved ham, Gruyère cheese, and béchamel)
  • carved turkey baguette with Dijon mayonnaise
  • grilled steak sandwich with garlic butter spread
  • pommes frites (french fries)
  • braised pork
  • loaded vegetable quiche
  • quinoa, shallot, and chive salad

Lunch options for those 9 and under will include:

  • carved turkey sandwich
  • roasted pulled pork
  • Mickey meatloaf
  • seared mahi mahi
  • whole grain macaroni topped with marinara and mozzarella

Dinner will be served as a table service meal where, as with most Disney restaurants, Advanced Dining Reservations are highly recommended. (Dining reservations should begin to be accepted sometime in August, although no date has officially been announced as of yet.)

For dinner, options will include:

Appetizers

  • charcuterie plate with cured meats and sausages
  • steamed mussels in a white wine sauce
  • French onion or potato leek soup
  • salad with champagne vinaigrette
  • salad trio

Entrées

  • thyme scented pork rack chop served with au gratin pasta
  • rotisserie rock hen served with roasted fingerling potatoes
  • pan seared salmon in leek fondue
  • grilled strip steak with pommes frites
  • sauteed shrimp and scallops with veggies in a puff pastry served with creamy lobster sauce
  • oven baked ratatouille

Dessert

  • strawberry cream cheese cupcake
  • triple chocolate cupcake
  • chocolate cream puff
  • passion fruit cream puff

Dinner options for those 9 and under will include:

  • grilled steak
  • grilled fish of the day
  • whole grain macaroni
  • grilled chicken breast

This restaurant is certainly high on my list on my first visit after it is open (that scallop and shrimp puff pastry is calling my name!). What item are you most looking forward to trying?

  • I’m just hoping they think about having special request type menus (gluten free, vegan, etc). It seems people with food allergies and requirements are frequently forgotten!

    • I have every confidence that Disney will include the allergy options. My daughter has a peanut allergy and we had no trouble at all at any of the restaurants in the parks. Even the quick service places were exceptional.

  • I cannot believe that all of this lunch menu is going to be covered by a quick service credit on the meal plan. This restaurant is going to be busy beyond belief. And not just when it opens, it will be packed forever…

    • Next thing you know they’ll be charging 2 QS credits for it.

      • SHHHH don’t give them any ideas 🙂

  • A “French” restaurant with no wine?! How long until the French embassy complains? 🙂
