New Details About Gaston’s Tavern

Ever since Disney announced Gaston’s Tavern as part of the New Fantasyland expansion, talk has been going on about what the dining establishment would actually serve. Since it’s in the Magic Kingdom, the restaurant couldn’t serve alcohol, but with a tavern atmosphere, one would expect that some sort of frothy concoction would be available for purchase.

Today, Disney shared the answer. LeFou’s Brew, named after Gaston’s bumbling sidekick in the movie, Beauty and the Beast, is going to be a no sugar added, frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow and a passion fruit-mango foam on top. (For those who have been to Cars Land in Disney California Adventure, it is also sold there at the Cozy Cone Motel under the name Red’s Apple Freeze.) Guests will even be able to purchase them in a souvenir stein or goblet. (See to the right.)

Another item you’ll be able to purchase here: cinnamon rolls. Yummy!

We’ll keep you posted as the full menu for this restaurant gets revealed! We can’t wait to see what else Disney has in store for us!

The Tavern will open during previews on November 19, with the grand opening on December 6.
