My Disney Experience App Now Available for Androids
The My Disney Experience app that was released about a month ago has officially launched for Android phones. The app can be found in the Google Play store and is completely free. For those unaware, the app is designed to help enhance your vacation while you are at Walt Disney World Resort with information about dining, characters, attractions, park schedules, and more.
If you are thinking about getting the app, make sure to check out the pictorial review from the blog we did a month ago.
As a reminder, the Disney Mobile Magic App is slated to go away by December. A similar app is set to be released next year for Disneyland Resort.

I have been hoping this would happen before our trip in 18 days. Otherwise I was going to have to steal my daughter’s iphone.
Features include “official Disney Parks-provided wait times.” As in, not ones provided by the Lines app – which is powered by, what I’m assuming, is a better system. How many times have you seen a sign posted in front of a WDW attraction that says 70 minutes and you only wait 40. While that is a good thing, it would be nice to know before you get in line what the real wait time is. I haven’t had the chance to use Lines yet, but from what I understand, with the combination of TouringPlans provided data and actual user provided live data, Lines will have more accurate info.
i have tried several times this morning, but i do NOT see it on my phone in the google store. i have a samsung dart. perhaps i need to update my google play store?
I was able to find it with a search for “my disney experience”, but if you’re having problems, try going directly to:

Hi,
On a recent Disboards podcast, the main presenter, Pete, implied that this app with official wait times will basically be the “death knell” of Lines (he didn’t name it but it sounded like that what he was referring to) – do you agree?
I got to use My Disney Experience in Disney World this week and found it faster and easier to use than Mobile Magic. I still prefer lines for checking basic park facts and its wait time data is more accurate than what Disney posts. I’m looking forward to seeing what Disney really has in mind for this app as they start to make it more functional.
