This week we’ll take a look at some refurbishment progress and continuing construction around the Disneyland Resort.
The Halloween party season has started at Disneyland. This means the park will be closing early on select days. The remaining dates for this year’s Mickey’s Halloween Party are October 5, 9, 12, 15, 19, 23, 26, 29, and 31. For more information please see our previous post about the Halloween parties.
Speaking of Mickey’s Halloween Party, I took this picture during Halloween Screams (the special fireworks show only offered on Mickey’s Halloween Party nights). This is Jack Skellington and Zero as they appear in the show.
Redd Rocket’s Pizza Port has had its scaffolding removed after a refurbishment. The new paint job looks great! The “fin” is sporting a new color scheme and the sparkly blue paint on the lower part of building matches the rest of Tomorrowland. Note that the Pizza Port marquee hasn’t been re-installed yet.
Refurbishment continues on the Storybook Land Canal Boats. I haven’t posted about this in a few weeks because not much work can be seen from the walkways. Behind the tarp there is work being done on widening the bridges that the Casey Junior train travels on.
The originally planned Fastpass distribution area for Radiator Springs Racers appears to be scrapped for now. The neon Fastpass distribution sign that appeared here has been removed and replaced by the ENTRY arrow you see above. This distribution area was never used and it looks like the current Fastpass machines (near It’s Tough to be a Bug) will remain.
That’s all for this week!
