Opening Date for Test Track Refurb Announced
Test Track at Epcot has been down for refurbishment since April, with no opening date announced other than “Fall 2012” until now. Today, on the Disney Parks Blog, Disney shared that a revamped Test Track will open on Thursday, December 6, 2012.
The attraction, found in Future World, will allow guests to enter a design studio. There, they will make choices to create their own virtual custom concept cars. Once guests board their Sim Cars, they will test to see how their designs fare in the areas of capability, efficiency, responsiveness, and power.
After the car is tested, guests can see how their cars performed in the post-show area.
With Fantasyland’s new expansion officially opening that same day, it looks like it will be a busy day at Walt Disney World!

I hope the crowds levels stay reasonable during my 12/7-12/11 trip. I will be curious about any changes to the crowd calendar here.
This really stinks, for the longest time on Disney’s website they were saying that they were going to open on 12/3/12, my Husband and I are leaving WDW on 12/4/12. Was hoping to ride this, but I guess not. >:o(
Woohoo! We’ll be at WDW 12/5-12/14… perfect timing for all of these openings. My family will be happy to hear this news!
December 6th is definitely NOT late fall as they have been stating.
Technically Fall doesn’t end until December 20th.
So disappointed it won’t be open for my Thanksgiving trip, considering they said it would be open in the late fall. Hopefully it will be soft opened by then.
Soft open… please!
