Character Spot in Epcot to Have Lengthy Refurbishment
The Character Spot, a meet and greet area found in the Innoventions West side of Epcot, will be seeing an approximate 4 month renovation. Here, guests could typically meet the Fab 5 characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy), with relative ease. The refurbishment is set to start this Sunday, October 21 (at least as of right now), and last until mid-February.
Word is that during the refurb, these characters will be able to be found in other areas around the park. Make sure to pick up a Times Guide for exact locations of your favorite one!

Will the character meet that also takes place in Innoventions West specifically for Disney Visa holders be affected by this?
The afternoon photo opportunity for those with Disney Visa cards is in a completely different location from the Epcot Character Spot that is being renovated.
Any chance they will finish earlier than mid-February??? Will the character stay together?
I hope they are going to have a nicer backgound for photos when they are finished. The old one was so busy it really took away from the photos!
I also hope they are not going to “theme” them too much. With the changes to Fantasyland, isn’t this the only place left to meet them in their “traditional” iconic outfits?
Oh dear..was looking forward to my free 5 x 7 for becoming a Disney Visa Debit Card Holder. Will they be doing those photos somewhere else then?
I love being able to see all 5 characters together but am sure the changes will be worth it. We’ll find the Fab 5 wherever they are and then celebrate their exciting new home with them when it reopens in Feb!
