2013 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival Preview
It’s that time of year again! Time for topiaries, concerts, special events, and plenty of new offerings for 2013.
What’s new?
-Flower and Garden and Food and Wine: This year the Flower and Garden Festival is getting food and drink booths similar to those during Epcot International Food & Wine Festival that is held every fall. Guests can enjoy special food and drink “inspired by Spring and the international flair of World Showcase.” Starting tomorrow TouringPlans.com will have all of the booth menus with prices listed on the site and in the Lines and Dining smart phone applications so you can see what is available before you go!
-Illuminated Gardens: For the first time topiaries and garden areas will be lit up for night time viewing.
-New Play Areas: The upcoming Disney film Oz the Great and Powerful gets a play area this year that has a large playground, carnival type games where guests can win buttons and packets of seeds to plant at home, and unique decor inspired by the movie. There is also a Cars playground near Test Track that features Lightning McQueen and Mater topiaries.
-New topiaries: In addition to many of your favorite topiaries from previous years, there will be some new displays, including a large one featuring characters from the upcoming Monsters University movie.
America Gardens Theatre features concerts every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night during the festival. There are 3 showtimes per day: 5:30pm. 6:45pm, and 8:00pm. The lineup includes popular performers from the 50′s through the 90′s, although the exact schedule is subject to change.
