Introducing the TouringPlans.com Podcast Network!

It’s time to get this party started!

We would like to officially announce the TouringPlans.com Podcast Network (TPN). Over on our official network feed, podcast.touringplans.com, you will find an introductory special where we explain what in the name of Walt a podcast network is, as well as talk to all the amazing podcasts that you are going to be able to hear.NetworkLogo

That’s right, each and every day Sunday through Friday that feed will bring you some of the best in Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Universal Orlando news, rumors, and helpful information. Just like a television network, you can subscribe to our single feed and download at least one theme park podcast every day.

Right now on podcast.touringplans.com you will find an introductory special that will familiarize you with our network and all the wonderful partner podcasts. Since I’m sure you are wondering, the podcasts you will hear on TPN starting Sunday, June 30 are:

Capturing Magic –

Steph and Britt (with numerous guests) share lots of ideas on how to best capture all your Disney Parks moments and what to do with those moments. They discuss some basic photography tips, including how to get your kids to look at the camera and where to take pictures. They also get into post-trip things such as digital scrapbooking and photo books.

DisGeek – Daniel, Thomas, Chris, and Jae are representing the Disneyland Resort for our network. They bring their encyclopedic knowledge and quirky humor to DLR news, rumors, and everything else from the West Coast.

Disney Hipsters Too – Adam and Andrew are snarky, sarcastic, and smart on their current podcast: Disney Hipsters. This is an additional project they are doing special for the network that will bring a slanted view of Walt Disney World news and rumors, as well as some interviews in a less swear-laden format.

ISO5571 – Cory, Ryan, and Tom hesitate to call themselves expert Disney Parks photographers, but have you seen their photos? They are good at it. Their podcast covers all things photography from the perspective of those people looking to get the optimal shots.

Mighty Men of Mouse – Kip Springfield, Dutch Lombrowski, and Russ Shuttlesworth (may not be real names) give a male perspective of Walt Disney World, but not the “let’s ditch the women and drink beer” kind (well, mostly not). They have many extremely well-thought-out episodes whose topics include examining AAA hotel ratings, the psychology of waiting in line, and looking at the validity of bad online Disney ratings.

The Minnie Minxes – The Disney girl power podcast. Kim and Michelle are two intelligent and funny British ladies who take on every angle they can about Disney parks. They often have guests and toss around witty banter like confetti.

Universal NOW – Our resident Universal Orlando Resort podcast starring Brandon, Ryan, Chris, and Derek. They are irreverent and in tune with everything happening at UOR (and…there’s kind of a lot happening there). They will be trying to turn a whole bunch of Disney people on to UOR and we think they can convince them that there are things that are worth seeing in that “other” park.

WDW 4 Families – Todd, Randy, Elizabeth, and Rusty are always thinking about their families, even at WDW. Their podcast is all about touring with children as well as all those other family members that tag along. Their goal is to make everyone’s trip a happy trip.

WDW Happy Place – Ashley and Sam Turner are a married couple who are also married to the mouse. They are consummate professionals discussing WDW news and current events with plenty of interesting interviews.

All of these fabulous shows will now be found exclusively on the TouringPlans.com Podcast Network, so how do you find it? You can find the shows directly on podcast.touringplans.com or on iTunes or the TPN RSS feed. The network will very soon be coming to all sorts of other distribution systems such as Stitcher, so make sure you keep checking.

If you have any questions you can comment below or email podcast@touringplans.com. This is an exciting new project that we are super excited about and we know you will be too. Happy listening!

  • Agree. This is awful. Don’t force us to subscribe to all the podcasts. Do you really want to do that?

  • How about the Unofficial Guide’s Disney Dish with Jim Hill?

  • just wondering if the network would be available in the Windows marketplace. I would dislike losing one of my favorite podcasts if it’s not

    • It will be in a few days. We had an issue with our submission that we are still working out.

  • So the Hipsters are offering a truncated version of their old show? And it;s just the two of them? I’m somewhat confused (and I say that as a huge fan of their current show in all it’s outrageous glory).

    • It’s a completely new show, although it will be in the style of their current one (which will continue to exist). Adam and Andrew will be there, but Jamie and Keith will be on every other week and they will have special guests on the other weeks.

      • Oh, okay, cool. Subscribed.

  • So excited for this, but a little surprised not to see WDW Today on the list.

  • So excited for this! I am subscribed and ready to go!

  • I was so hoping to see a return of Of Mouse and Man on this list…

    • Ha! Me too. Unfortunately the TPN is a much more family friendly network and Of Mouse and Man wouldn’t fit it. At all. Also we are still on hiatus. Thanks for the support!

  • I find it kinda odd that the tri weekly podcast that Len Testa regularly appears on, WDW Today, is NOT on the T.P.N.?

Lucy, you got some splainin’ to do?

    Reply
    • Ha! Good point. There wasn’t as much benefit for WDW Today to join our network as there were for some of these great podcasts that didn’t have as large an audience.

  • Best of Luck to ALL the members of the TouringPlans Podcast Network from the longest running Disneyland Audio Adventure Podcast on the Internet.

  • It’s like TWIT, but for Disney! WOOT!!!! 😉 Look out Leo Laporte. Len Testa is a force to be reckoned with!
