Here is what went on last week, just in case you missed any of the great content:
The Disney Hipsters gave us some slanted Disney news as well as an all-encompassing review of Donald’s Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Adam and Andrew were joined by the very special duo of Mike and David from JamboEveryone.com to talk food, characters, and atmosphere of the popular eatery.
Speaking of special guests, the Universal NOW crew was joined by the always informative Jim Hill to discuss all of Universal Orlando’s upcoming projects (and a few of Disney’s, as well). The good news is that it is a ton of fun to listen to; the bad news is that Mr. Hill has a lot of stories…so many that this discussion had to be split into two parts. This is the first installment, with the second coming this week.
Disneyland has so much interesting stuff that even waiting in line can be interesting. Luckily, the DisGeek podcast is here, and last week they shared their top 5 DLR queues as well as the news from the left coast.
The WDW Happy Place covered everything about Disney news that you have and have not heard including Disney’s Planes, the Disneyland Paris Bastille Day celebration, and Hulu and Disney’s evolving relationship.
Can’t get enough Jim Hill? Us either, which is why we brought you yet another great installment of the Unofficial Guide Disney Dish with Jim Hill and Len Testa. In this episode they cover part 2 of their Disney Moderate Resorts discussion including the Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans, and Dixie Landings.
Capturing Magic shared a fascinating subject that many may miss: the fonts used by Disney. Richard from Disney Designerland came on to share his wealth of knowledge about this amazing subject.
The Mighty Men of Mouse did what they do best…make us think. They talk about the how and why of Disney queues and how David Maister’s The Psychology of Waiting in Lines applies to your Disney vacation, whether you know it or not.
As usual, WDW 4 Families ended the week on a great note (of course, the whole week is great notes :). They gave us a primer or a refresher on the Magic Kingdom, depending on your perspective. Their wonderful discussion both familiarizes you and makes you homesick for this oldest of the Disney Florida parks.
If you listened to any or all of these podcasts, we are sure you enjoyed them. Make sure you stay tuned! This week will bring you new episodes of most of these great shows (no DisGeek this week), as well as another episode of the Minnie Minxes!
