Resident Evil: Escape From Raccoon City Announced as Eighth and Final House at Universal’s HHN 23
At Midnight last night the official Universal Halloween Horror Nights 23 Twitter account (@HorrorNightsORL) revealed that the eighth and final haunted house at this year’s event would be based around the Resident Evil video game franchise. Resident Evil: Escape From Raccoon City joins The Walking Dead, The Cabin in the Woods, Evil Dead, An American Werewolf in London, After Life: Death’s Vengeance, La Llorona, and Havoc: Derailed as the official mazes that guests will be able to walk through and get their wits scared out of them.
Resident Evil is a long running video game series that began in 1996. The Resident Evil: Escape From Raccoon City haunted house will be based around Resident Evil 2 and 3, games which were released in 1998 and 1999. Universal Creative Director Mike Aiello has confirmed that guests will encounter classic 
RE game elements such as dogs, Lickers (like from the artwork on the left hand side of the article, and Nemesis (the main baddie from RE 3). Universal has also teased that one room of the maze will also give guests the experience of the video game itself being paused. Pretty meta.
A creepy and intense video game, Resident Evil on the home consoles has very little in common with the Hollywood movies of the same name. The atmosphere and chilling mood created by the earlier RE games are second to none and show what type of terrifying experience guests can have as they walk through many of the iconic locations of Raccoon City. Capcom, the creators of RE, have worked with Universal on developing the haunted house and the end result should leave long time Resident Evil fans more than satisfied.
Universal Halloween Horror Nights 23 will run on selected nights from Sept 20 – Nov 2 at Universal Studios Florida.

in 2004 was Jon or the asylum patient turning on a large machine to spread the evil to both universal studios Orlando, Florida and the islands of adventure. back in 2005 we had an evil high priest for the Terra queen who rules over an dark and gloomy world. they had sacrifices to pay tribute to her. in 2006 we had the arrival with all previous icons of the event coming together to spread mayhem for their sweet 16. in 2007 jack is back with Freddy, Jason, Leather Face and brings his twisted carnival to the park.

new info i have seen from Orlando united confirms an opening ceremony for universal studios Florida I hope there is a icon or something like back in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 with bloody Mary coming out of her mirror.
I also hope for some kind of an icon or mascot to be revealed during the official Halloween horror nights commercials and trailers or other things to come even more mysteries to be unlocked till opening night.
I hope universal still has a good backstory for the event the houses have been revealed and the street experience is based on the walking dead but where is the reason what evil has taken root universal at least had the story of the root of all evil or the legions of horror being unlocked by construction when they released the iniquitous what is the backstory or complete theme for the event.
