Have you seen those color changing ears that react with the different nighttime shows at Disneyland Resort, like World of Color? These hats blink in unison and magically change color in sync with with fireworks and shows, as well as with each other! Well, the technology, as well as the ears, are now coming to Florida!

Disney will begin selling the hats in Florida this fall. Beginning on October 15, they will interact with Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Then, starting on October 19, Glow with the Show comes to Magic Kingdom, where it will enhance both Wishes and the Celebrate the Magic castle projection show.

Guests will see more interactions as time goes on. For example, during the Holiday season, they will change colors during the Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights, found at The Studios.

The hats will work on both coasts, so if you already have them from Disneyland, bring them to Walt Disney World!

So, get ready to Glow With The Show!

  • This is so cool! I have a Glow hat from DisneyLand, I can’t wait to be in WDW in Nov!

  • Any idea on the price of these ears? I thought they were gimiky when I first started reading but honestly when the are in sync with the shows thats just cool.

  • Hats sell for $25 here in California.

Will be interesting to see if they have much luck with them in Florida, since they’ve definitely flopped out here (the World of Color & Fantasmic cast members no longer have to wear them, the ultimate sign of surrender). Since WDW has a much higher tourist-to-local ratio, I don’t see how the results could be better.

  • This seems neat, but maybe not $25 neat. I appreciate color changing clothes as much as the next guy, but that’s a lot for a hat only usable during two events on opposite sides of the country.

  • They also work at sea world shamu Rocks show at California.
