Live from the Disney Dream – Bar Menus

Today is Castaway Cay day of our second cruise, and I’ve already run a 5K. Because I’m feeling so righteous, I’ll post some bar menus. First is Pink – my third favorite bar on the Disney Cruise Line (click to open the full sized images).

Next is a label from the Crémant d’Alsace Blanc de Blanc, which Len (who is kind of a Champagne snob) pronounced very good last night, and is at a really decent price.

I had the Möet et Chandon Ice Imperial (you must be 21 to enter the Möet web site), which isn’t on the menu for some reason. Pink is a fun bar that never seems to see many crowds. We find it vastly preferable to the overwrought decor of the Fantasy’s Ooh La La, which is the sister bar on that ship. Myra, our bartender, said she thinks a lot of folks assume it’s Champagne only. For me, this isn’t a problem because I like my wine the way I like my jewelry – sparkly. Our only complaint is there is the occasional noise leak over from the live entertainment at the District Lounge.

The next menu is from  the Dream’s Skyline – my 2nd favorite bar on the Disney Cruise Line.

If you are a fan of glow cubes (and who isn’t?) Skyline is the place for you. On the Dream it is a tour of 5 cities, each with signature cocktails. We found out from talking to Nur, our bartender, that the drinks are created by the bartenders onboard and go through many iterations of testing before DCL deems them ready to go on their menus. You can also order cocktails that aren’t on the menu, as well as beer and wine.

Next time, we will pull menus from 687, Evolution, and the District Lounge for you. And, by the way, my favorite DCL bar is Skyline on the Fantasy.

  • And if we don’t like glow cubes? Will they serve a drink without and lower the price, as Walt Disney World restaurants will?

      I don’t think they will do that. I’ve seen this for beverages in souvenir cups, but not for glow cubes. The prices for cocktails are very reasonable anyway, particularly in comparison to similar drinks at Walt Disney World.
