The Polite Pig Restaurant Announced for Disney Springs

The restaurant hits just keep coming for Disney Springs – The Polite Pig will be joining the Town Center lineup. The Polite Pig will be brought to life by James and Julie Petrakis, who are owners of the well known Orlando area restaurant, The Ravenous Pig.

The Polite Pig will be a quick service location that serves both lunch and dinner. It will feature a variety of wood-fired, smoked, and grilled items. Specialty items will include a grilled salmon BLT, a pulled pork sandwich with an apple slaw and charred broccoli salad. Customers will order from the counter and have their food brought to them.

The 5,000-square-foot eatery will be open daily, and will offer seating for about 200 guests. In addition to indoor seating, The Polite Pig will have a fantastic outdoor patio for Guests to enjoy. The Polite Pig will also feature an open kitchen. The restaurant’s bar will serve beer from local breweries, including Cask & Larder beer, as well as wine and cocktails from the tap.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, “We want to keep it pretty simple,” Julie Petrakis said. “It’s definitely something that we would have never thought of doing ourselves, but Disney approached us and wanted to have something with a local following at Disney Springs.”

The Polite Pig will be located across from the newly opened UNIQLO. It is expected to open in the spring of 2017.
