The winter blues have officially set in. I’m officially over it and am anxiously awaiting spring. I don’t know about you. Unfortunately, we still have quite a few weeks to go before that gorgeous sunny warmth sets in. Ugh.

This week, learn which movies were nominated for Oscars, find out more about Planet Hollywood Observatory, and more!

In Case You Missed It – Disney and Universal Orlando News and Rumors

Could the Tomorrowland Speedway be the next attraction to be removed out of the Magic Kingdom? What are your thoughts about this potential rumor?

Planet Hollywood Observatory is getting so close to officially opening. Guy Fieri is an integral part to the menu offerings for the restaurant and was recently in town promoting his dishes. Also take a look at the newly redesigned interior

According to the Orlando Sentinel, an attorney for a Walt Disney World worker who is suing the company is demanding to see a “toxic-employee document” apparently kept by the resort.

If you are one who is open to the idea of Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout, here is what you can expect to experience when the attraction opens this summer. Are you excited about this experience?

The Oscar nominations came out this week and Disney earned nine nods in six categories.

Did you miss the news? I honestly don’t know how  you could. Star Wars Episode VIII has a title. What do you think it all means?

“Mickey and the Roadster Racers” debuted this week at number 1 with the kiddos! Is this a show that’s on in your house? What do you think?

Do you do a lot of coloring in the ever popular adult coloring books that are all the rage right now? Well, now there’s a Disney app for that. Does this appeal to you?

Heart-warming! That’s what this video is. Take a look at this duet of this dad and daughter signing “You’ve Got a Friend in Me“.

Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon is getting closer and closer to opening. Take a look at some of the merchandise you can purchase from the attraction’s gift shop, The Tonight Shop. So, if you’re looking to buy a Hashtag the Panda costume or show off your Tight Pants, this is where you’ll want to go.

  • Honestly, I’m amazed the Speedway isn’t gone yet. I’m not usually one for chucking old attractions just because they’re “old”, but Speedway’s closing is way overdue.

Staying with the car theme, my kiddo is definitely enjoying Roadster Racers. As a parent of a little girl, I’m disappointed that Minnie and Daisy are basically relegated to various pet sitting plots in most of the episodes and hope that changes eventually. I’m surprised at just how entrenched Clubhouse and now this stays in the “boys do this, girls do that” stereotypes. However, it is nice to have something a little “older” for her now that she’s starting to outgrow Clubhouse. She still loves her Mickey and Friends. 🙂

  • I am all for Tomorrowland Speedway closing. The cars do not drive very well and they are smelly, loud, and noisy. I would much rather WDW tear it up and develop an exciting new attraction in its place!

  • Out with the Speedway and in with TRON, or a Big Hero 6 attraction, or GotG:MB

  • I liked Tomorrowland Speedway. The first 5 times. Yes, it’s nostalgic but it’s occupying valuable space that deserves a modern upgrade. Trackless-system technology along the lines of DLs Luigi’s Rollicking or TDs Aquatopia ride would be a perfect fit and hopefully a probable replacement. WDW needs one of those, too 😀
