  • clearly you don’t have a vacation planned there this week. of course the safety of the staff and residents are important and i didn’t suggest otherwise. just looking for information. find something better to do with your time than criticizing others.

  • When will you be updating your crowd calendar? Said you would do so within the next 24 hours – that was yesterday morning. Or maybe I missed a post about it?

    • Or maybe, less than a full day after a major statewide natural disaster where millions in Florida alone are without power, potable water or even able to return home yet we could cut a theme park info website a tiny bit of slack and at least pretend to care if its employees and their families are safe before fine-tuning our vacations to an oasis in the middle of a disaster zone.

      Just a thought.

  • I haven’t seen anything on refunds or comps for guests who were at the resorts but couldn’t use their theme park tickets because of the storm. I’ve only seen info on refunding oImage may contain: one or more people, people standing and indoorur transferring reservations for guests who had not yet arrived for their vacation.

    • Sorry, google added some jibberish in there. I was saying I’ve only seen compensation being offered for guests who had not yet arrived for their vacation, nothing for guests who were already here (specifically regarding theme park tickets). We had a six day ticket but could only use four of those days because the parks were closed.

  • From the SeaWorld Website – SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando and Discovery Cove will remain closed on Tuesday, September 12 to allow for additional debris clean-up from Hurricane Irma.

We expect SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando to reopen on Wednesday, September 13. Stay tuned for updates on Discovery Cove. For all parks, guests are encouraged to check our websites and follow our social media channels for more updates. Source: https://seaworld.com/orlando/blog/hurricane-irma/

    • This is the current alert on their website: “Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is currently closed due to Hurricane Irma. Please continue to check back for updates.”

      • I received this announcement: All Disney Resorts will begin normal operation Sept. 12, 2017 with the exception of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Treehouse Villas. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground will remain closed at this time while assessments to the property are completed. To allow Disney’s Fort Wilderness to prepare the property after Hurricane Irma, all shows at The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue and Mickey’s Backyard BBQ will be cancelled Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017. Any existing reservations will be automatically cancelled and refunded.

    • Fort Wilderness will remain closed Tuesday and Hoop Dee Doo and Mickey BBQ are cancelled Tuesday. We don’t know anything other than that right now.
