Made with Magic Ear Hat 3.0: Connected Coming to Disney Parks

According to a post via Oh My Disney, a brand new set of Made with Magic Ears are going to be headed to the parks!

Wait…let’s back up a bit. What is Made with Magic? These are special accessories you can buy that are programmed to light up at key moments, matching the colors and flashing to the beat of popular nighttime spectaculars. There are four different products that you can choose to buy. They are Mickey ear hats, Minnie Mouse headbands, Sorcerer Mickey wands, and Rivers of Light totem wands (or at Disneyland, a Mickey Mitt Glove).

These Made with Magic products currently work at Walt Disney World with Fantasmic! and the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; Happily Ever After fireworks and the Once Upon A Time castle projection show at the Magic Kingdom; Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom; and select concerts at the America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure Pavilion at Epcot. At Disneyland, they work with the fireworks at the Disneyland Resort and World of Color.

Soon, however, there will be a new option for Guests because for the first time ever, your ears will interact at home with the new “Made with Magic Ear Hat 3.0: Connected.”

Here’s how it will work. First, you’ll need to purchase the special 3.0 ears. Next, you’ll need to download the Shop Disney Parks app. When you turn on your TV to watch select performances, you will be able to“Glow at Home” along with the show courtesy of Bluetooth technology that then allows viewers at home to interact with their TV. The app lets users sync with the audio from the special interactive Made with Magic events.

These new ears will be available in mid-November – which is just in time for the fantastic new holiday specials that will be airing this holiday season on ABC, Freeform, and more!
