While not as exciting as October, the month of November brought us a few new announcements regarding the International Disney Parks, with more excitement happening for the holidays in December. Let’s break the news down park by park.

Disneyland Paris

The holiday season is in full force at Disneyland Paris, with special holiday entertainment throughout both parks. Disney’s Christmas Parade at Disneyland Park features familiar characters, dancing sugar canes and gingerbread men, and so much more! Ending with the always-magical snowfall on Main Street U.S.A., this parade will put you in the Yuletide spirit.

You can also find a brand-new show, “A Merry Stitchmas” on the Royal Castle Stage, led by that ever-mischievous alien Stitch. In addition, meet and greets are taking place throughout the park with Marie, Scrooge McDuck, Thumper, Miss Bunny, and Santa Claus.

Furthermore, at Walt Disney Studios Park you’ll find two new holiday shows. The stage show “Sing Me a Merry Christmas” gives you a chance to sing along with Mickey and friends to your favorite Christmas songs. At night, gaze in awe at “Goofy’s Incredible Christmas,” a nighttime extravaganza featuring all-new mapping technology and special effects displayed on The Hollywood Tower Hotel. If you’ve ever needed a reason for international travel, Christmas at Disneyland Paris seems like a good one!

Hong Kong Disneyland

A Disney Christmas has taken over Hong Kong Disneyland, and the park has been transformed into a winter wonderland! Premiering this year, “The Mickey and Friends Christmastime Ball” takes place in the forecourt of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The show features singers, dancers, and (of course) some of your favorite Disney friends. The finale includes a magical snowfall.

“Holiday Wish Moments,” special character meet and greets, are taking place along Main Street, U.S.A. Be part of a magical moment with Mickey, Minnie, Duffy, ShellieMae, or Gelatoni. You can also find Santa Goofy at his Post Office on Main Street. He’s set up a special mailbox where you can drop holiday postcards. You’ll even receive a Santa Goofy Commemorative Stamp.

Additionally, holiday snacks and merchandise are available throughout the park. If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss “A Christmas Dessert Party,” taking place at the Train Station on select nights. If you’re more of a popcorn person, don’t miss the special holiday Pluto popcorn bucket, available throughout the park.

Shanghai Disneyland

Start your holiday festivities at Shanghai Disneyland with “Happy Holidays, Mickey,” presented by the Shanghai Disneyland Band. Characters will accompany the band to spread some holiday cheer. Following the performance, the characters will offer meet and greet opportunities along Mickey Avenue. Also taking place on Mickey Avenue is “Christmas Swing,” a character dance party in Holiday Square.

At night, don’t miss the “When We’re Together” Tree Lighting Ceremony in front of the Enchanted Storybook Castle. Led by Olaf, the ceremony illuminates the 60-foot tall Christmas tree towering over the crowd.

Additionally, holiday merchandise is also being offered, with Sweethearts Confectionery transforming into a Christmas Gift Shop. Special food will be available throughout the park, and Christmas meals can be found on the menus of the Royal Banquet Hall, Remy’s Patisserie, and Lumiere’s Kitchen.

Tokyo Disney Resort

Last but not least, Christmas Fantasy is taking place at Tokyo Disneyland. This event includes the “Disney Christmas Stories” parade, which is themed to seven Christmas stories told by Disney characters. At night, enjoy the “Disney Gifts of Christmas,” a projection mapping show displayed onto Cinderella Castle.

Over at Tokyo DisneySea, take part in the Christmas Wishes event. Catch “A Perfect Christmas,” presented in the Mediterranean Harbor and featuring Mickey and Friends as they share the joys of Christmas. Furthermore, you can find the “Colors of Christmas” show each night in the Mediterranean Harbor. This nighttime show features a cast of Disney characters in holiday costumes, a towering Christmas tree, and snowfall around the harbor.

Cap off the evening with the Starbright Christmas fireworks, which can be viewed from both parks. Tokyo Disney Resort is also offering a wide variety of seasonal snacks and seasonal merchandise for both the Christmas Fantasy and Christmas Wishes events.

Are you planning on visiting any of the international parks to catch anything new? Is there a special event catching your eye? As much as I love the U.S. parks, the international ones have some amazing things happening over the next few years! Please comment and share your thoughts and experiences on the Disney Parks throughout the world.
