For you Harry Potter fanatics who missed it, J.K. Rowling released a brand new story featuring an update on our favorite trio – Ron, Hermione, and Harry – via the website Pottermore. Are you a fan of Fantasy Football? If so, consider attending the inaugural ESPN Fantasy Football Convention, where guests will have unprecedented access to ESPN Fantasy Experts, experience an exclusive Tailgate Party, sit in on a live broadcast of Fantasy Football Now on ESPN2, and more! While it’s a lot costly ($641.00 per person-based on double occupancy), it does sound like a once in a lifetime experience.

I came across this intriguing article about the history for building AudioAnamatronics. I always find it so fascinating to learn this kind of stuff.

Did you celebrate? This week was Donald Duck’s 80th birthday! He doesn’t look a day over 21! What’s your favorite thing about the cranky, yet lovable fellow?

While you were making your duck-shaped cakes to celebrate, I was finding great news and rumors for the week! What did I find? Read on to find out!

Speaking of Donald’s birthday, the Orlando Sentinel ran a short piece discussing the history of the famous duck. Best of all, there are some fun photos of him throughout the years, too!

Let’s jump on board our Delorean and head to 1957. Here we’ll take a look at what restaurants were offered at Disneyland back in the day. Personally, I’d like to stop at the Casa de Fritos.

Last weekend, Mark Hamill was at Star Wars Weekends for the first time ever. During a presentation, the now voice actor showed off his talents, as he imagined a conversation between Luke Skywalker and The Joker.

In OH MY GOD news…Disney Fairytale Weddings is offering a wedding package where you can get married at the train station on Main Street, U.S.A., in the Magic Kingdom. Holy cow! How much is it gonna cost me to get remarried?

James Cameron has shed a few new details on the upcoming Avatarland. First, the name…it’s likely to be called, “Pandora: Land of Avatar,” though keep in mind, that could still change. In addition, Mr. Cameron mentioned that the anamatronics are going to be unreal; they are supposed to be extremely advanced. Read more about what’s slated for this new land that is currently being built at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

USA Today shared its Top 10 Best Rides and Attractions at Walt Disney World. While there wasn’t really one mentioned that surprised me, though maybe the fact that Splash Mountain wasn’t included does surprise me a bit, it was a good list and made some good points. Which attraction would be number one on your “best of” list?

Monday was, of course, Memorial Day, and Jim Hill had a fantastic article all about how President Reagan had a unique second inauguration at Epcot back on Memorial Day 1985.

I love Disney history, and Jack Spence from AllEars is starting a really great series all about Tomorrowland. Here’s the first installment. (We have seven more to go, and I can’t wait to read each one.)

In Case You Missed It!

While I’m not at the Rock Your Disney Side event tonight, I am dressed up. As you read this I am sitting in my office in my own villain costume right now, and I think I look good as Drizella from Cinderella. :)

If you are like me and not partying it up in either Disneyland or Walt Disney World, here’s some fun that will hopefully make things a little better.

In Case You Missed It – Disney and Universal Orlando News and Rumors

Wow! This is neat! Here is a copy of the Disneyland Prospectus. This was used to promote the idea of Disneyland to potential backers. There is some great detail in the map, as well as the documents that go along with it.

In news that makes you go, hmmmm…the Orlando Sentinel is reporting that the “Disney Exec Who Led MyMagic+ Will Leave the Company.” What are your thoughts about this move?
