For those who are fans of the #INCREDIBLESSuperDanceParty, I have sad news. The intergalactic dance party which takes place on the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom and featuring characters from the hit Pixar film, The Incredibles will be ending. The dance party occurs on select evenings and transforms as Mr. Spin puts together the beats for those looking to rock out.

The last day to dance the night away with Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone will be April 30.

It does appear that Mr. Incredible will still be meeting with Guests for a limited time. He will be found in a temporary location from May 1 through May 18.

A new dance party is slated to take its place called the Cosmic Dance Party. No word on which characters will be appearing or an official start date. (Though one would expect it would be May 19, but that’s just a guess on my part.)

Easter Must-Dos at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World loves any excuse to celebrate a holiday, so it is no surprise that there are some special offerings only available during the Easter season.  Easter is April 16 this year, and here are some of the best that Walt Disney World has to offer for Easter.

Meet the Easter Bunny (and Mrs. Easter Bunny, too)

It isn’t a surprise to most people that you can meet Santa around the winter holidays, but at Magic Kingdom, Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny are available for a springtime meet and greet. Although they don’t sign autographs, you can get a picture and a special free “autographed card” as a souvenir. Mr. and Mrs. Bunny usually meet in Town Square at the Magic Kingdom from 9 AM to 2 PM daily through Easter.

Disney Changing Magic Kingdom Security Procedures

by on March 29, 2017

Security Procedures Update

©Rikki Niblett

Big changes are coming soon for Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom, as far as bag check and security procedures go.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, beginning on April 3, Magic Kingdom visitors who drive to the theme park and park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) will go through metal detection and have their bags screen at the TTC. Once Guests are scanned at the Transportation and Ticket Center, they will then be able to board the ferry or monorail to head to the Magic Kingdom; Guests will not need to go through security measures once they get to the theme park itself.

In addition, Guests who are staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will go through security at the resorts’ monorail stations prior to heading to the Magic Kingdom.

Currently, all Guests have to have their bags checked and go through metal detection directly in front of the Magic Kingdom’s gates.

This change is being done in an effort to make the security procedures go more efficiently for both Disney, as well as park Guests. If you have been to the Magic Kingdom on an exceptionally busy day, you will understand how crazy crowded and backed up that area right in front of the park can get, so it seems like this new process will be exceptionally helpful.

For even more explanation, here’s a video where Brian goes through the entire process:

Rumors indicate that a new attraction themed after the film Wreck-It Ralph have been floated around, however nothing is concrete yet about what will eventually happen with the attraction. (For those who are unaware, most of the time, seasonal attractions don’t come out of seasonal status until they are replaced.)

New Joffrey’s Coffee Kiosk Opening at the Magic Kingdom

by on February 17, 2017

Joffrey's Coffee

Guests will soon be able to get their Joffrey’s Coffee fix at the Magic Kingdom in Tomorrowland, as a brand new Joffrey’s kiosk is expected to open in March. This is the first Joffrey’s Coffee kiosk to be located at the Magic Kingdom.

The new location is expected to serve a specialty coffee that is specific to Tomorrowland and that is their brand new s’mores latte, which includes Joffrey’s espresso mixed with chocolate sauce and marshmallow syrup, topped with whipped cream, graham cracker crumbs, and marshmallows. (Which you can get either hot or iced.) Oh does that sound delightful!

Currently, the two closest kiosks to the Magic Kingdom could be found at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

This new kiosk is perfect for those looking for a great pick me up, as well as for those who have been wishing for an alternative to Starbucks at the Main Street Bakery.
