Well, with only a few performances to go, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders are being given the opportunity to receive dedicated reserved seating for the remaining Eat to the Beat Concert Series performances from now until November 13 during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

To obtain this special seating opportunity, Passholders will need to visit the Festival Center and pick up a special badge that is good for one of the same-day performances. Badges are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be distributed up to one hour prior to the performance or until they have all been distributed for the day.

To redeem your seating, Passholders will need to line up at the designated line that’s been printed on the badge at the America Gardens Theatre. Guests should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the performance.

Do keep in mind that in order to receive your badge, you’ll need to show both your Annual Pass, as well as your photo ID.

The remaining performers are:

  • Hanson
  • Blue October
  • Living Colour
  • Boyz II Men
  • Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
  • Squeeze

Showtimes for the Eat to the Beat performances are at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Walt Disney World Annual Passholders Get Special Entrances This Holiday Season

by on December 20, 2016

To celebrate their Annual Passholders this holiday season, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to enjoy easy access to the parks with special Passholder lines found at the main entrance of all four Walt Disney World theme parks –  Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

This entrance will be found at the main entrance of each of the four theme parks, just after the security stations. Guests looking to utilize this perk will see signs up that will indicate which lanes should be used by Passholders. This should hopefully allow for an expedited experience at the tap-styles and entering the park.

According to WESH, this perk will begin on December 21 and will currently last through the month of January.

Questions About Disney’s Latest Annual Passholder Offer

by on October 14, 2016

If you ever thought about becoming an Annual Passholder, Walt Disney World’s recent announcement of new perks to celebrate its 45th anniversary provided additional incentives to take the plunge.

Guests who purchase or renew an annual pass between October 2, 2016 and January 3, 2017 will enjoy 13 months of admission to Walt Disney World. They’re also upping their game on discounts. Through September 30, 2017, Passholders will get 20 percent off of purchases as Disney owned-and-operated merchandise locations, up from the previous 10 percent discount.

As for dining, through September 30, 2017, Passholders will get 20 percent off the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages at 45 select theme park and resort hotel restaurants. The list includes restaurants in each park, along with the many of the Disney resort hotels. One welcome addition is 20 percent discounts at select counter service restaurants at the parks and Deluxe Resorts. Other table service restaurants continue to offer Passholders 10 percent discounts as they had previously.

Great news, but it leaves you with a decision to make in the next few months and some unanswered questions. To help you make the right call, here is some clarity on issues that weren’t made entirely clear by Disney’s announcement.

When do I have to activate my annual pass to get the 13-month offer?

This is important, because having to activate your Annual Pass by that January 3, 2017 date would probably be a deal-breaker for many of us. After getting a clarification from a cast member, the date restriction is clearly for the purchase of the Annual Pass and not the activation.

As long as you purchase your pass by January 3, 2017, you can activate it on any later date and still use it for 13 months. So if you plan on purchasing annual passes in the future, and can afford it, buying now would be wise to take advantage of the 13-month window.

What if I already purchased theme park tickets?

As Annual Pass Prices Increase, Theme Parks Add Perks

by on September 18, 2016

Not too long ago we saw Walt Disney World drastically change their annual pass structure adding new features and a wide variety of blackout dates. Universal Orlando has followed suit. They also recently announced new annual pass features like early park admission. Universal has also rolled out a new seasonal annual pass which is the most budget friendly but also has the most blackout dates, and the least amount of perks.

It’s not all bad news, however, Besides adding features to the annual passes themselves, all of the major theme parks offer various perks and benefits throughout the year. It seems as though this year there are more perks than ever before–perhaps this is because the prices are higher than they’ve ever been. Some guests who are on vacation are purchasing an annual pass rather than a multi-day ticket, even if they’re only going to visit once in a given year. For locals like me it is often seen as a mandatory purchase in order to do Orlando living right.

Let’s take a look at some of the really fun benefits and perks that are being offered to annual pass holders at each of the major theme parks. It is important to note that for the purposes of this blog post I will not be discussing the features that are already included in your annual pass such as free parking, but rather I will focus on different, added-on perks that are offered throughout the year.

Walt Disney World

Perhaps the Walt Disney World Resort faces the greatest of expectations. Because of their four theme parks vs. two at Universal Orlando and one theme park plus water park at SeaWorld Orlando, the Walt Disney World annual passes are the most expensive. This typically raises the expectations of consumers, creating stronger desires for more bang for their buck.
