Magic Kingdom Parade Route Issues

by on February 28, 2008

The bridge that connects Liberty Square to the hub will soon be undergoing unscheduled maintenance to repair major structural issues. This bridge is part of the regular parade route in the Magic Kingdom. We’ve heard that the parades will be rerouted at the central hub to out past the Teacups through Toon Town as a compromise, but could be canceled entirely for a brief period while repairs are made if this new route proves overly complicated.

We’ll keep you updated if other plans or further details emerge.

New Magic Kingdom Touring Plans

by on August 28, 2007

New for the 2008 edition of the book, we’ve created for the “Type B” reader touring plans that avoid detailed step-by-step strategies for saving every last minute in line. To paraphrase one of our favorite movies, they’re more guidelines than actual rules. Use these touring plans to avoid the longest waits in line while having maximum flexibility to see whatever interests you in a particular part of the park.

For the Magic Kingdom, these “Not” touring plans include advice for adults and parents with one day in the park, for anyone with two days, and for anyone with an afternoon and a full day.

Comments on these new plans are welcome.

Disney Dreams Come True Parade

by on July 31, 2006

Disney’s Dreams Come True Parade at the Magic Kingdom will begin soon, replacing the Share a Dream Come True parade. The cast and crew are in technical rehearsals for the parade this week (7/01/06), suggesting an opening of the new parade sometime this month, if not as early as next week.

Disney’s Dreams Come True Parade consists of new music and the Share a Dream parade’s floats redesigned to function minus their signature snow globes and with added decor.
