The Best Disney Springs Table Service Restaurants

Best table service restaurants at Disney Springs

TouringPlans gets thousands of user surveys each year from Disney guests. In recent posts, we shared the best restaurants at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Epcot and the best restaurants at the resorts. Today we’re talking about the best Disney Springs table service restaurants. Disney Springs has definitely seen the most new restaurant openings in recent history, but how do they fare?

To note, Fulton’s closed in 2016 and reopened as Paddlefish in 2017. Planet Hollywood was closed the entire year and reopened in February as Planet Hollywood Observatory. Homecomin’, BOATHOUSE, Morimoto, Frontera Concina, and STK are all part of the “new” Disney Springs. BOATHOUSE opened April 2015, Morimoto October 2015, the others in the last year. Paddlefish has not had enough responses to make the list yet.

In this chart, restaurants shown in green did significantly better the average Walt Disney World restaurant, while those in red did significantly worse.

Dani’s Best Week Ever March 17, 2016: Disney Springs, The Ganachery, and Raglan Road

by on March 17, 2016

Top o’ the morning to ya! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Just in time for the greenest of all holidays, I made a visit to Disney Springs to check out the Mighty Festival at Raglan Road, and made a few shopping diversions along the way. I visit Disney Springs about once a month it seems, if not more frequently, and I enjoy my visits much more than any visits I can remember at Downtown Disney (excluding any and all romps around Pleasure Island’s amazing night clubs). This particular trip I enjoyed a little bit of shopping and soaked up as much Irish fun as I could.

Getting to Disney Springs has its struggles at times, however lots of improvements have been made, the greatest of which is the Orange Parking garage and the direct from Interstate 4 Westbound ramp leading straight to Disney Springs. On this visit I arrived on property via Lake Buena Vista and enjoyed using the exit ramp the splits of Lake Buena Vista Drive just after Typhoon Lagoon.  Within moments I found a parking spot thanks to the available space signage and lighting at each space. Above each parking space on all floors except the rooftop there is a light, green means “yay this spot is open” and red means “nothing to see here, move along.”

Along the rooftop of the parking garage you can check out some cool views of Disney Springs. From this vantage point you can get a bird’s eye view of the remaining construction of Disney Springs. The most notable construction projects are the Town Center, which will be the Spanish architecture laden area in front of The Landing, the massive bus terminal, and Planet Hollywood’s extreme makeover.

Seth Kubersky’s Best Week Ever July 30, 2015: Drizzling Disney Springs

by on July 30, 2015

Best Week Ever Disney Springs

Take a drizzly tour of Disney Springs in this Best Week Ever (photos by Seth Kubersky)

The end of July 2015 has certainly earned a spot on my Best Week Ever list, because just days ago my brand new book, The Unofficial Guide to Universal Orlando, emerged from the printer on actual dead trees, and will be available for purchase early next month. What better way to celebrate such a milestone than with a wet walk around the worksite known as Disney Springs?

Unlike Derek Burgan, I’ve been avoiding the area formerly known as Downtown Disney like the plague since construction began on its massive re-imagining. This week, I picked a blustery afternoon to make my return to Walt Disney World’s shopping and entertainment complex in the hopes of experiencing some of its newest additions.

The changes began long before I landed at Disney Springs, as electronic traffic signs detoured me away from my usual direct route to the parking lot behind Cirque du Soleil.

Instead, I found myself on a “scenic route” behind Old Key West and Saratoga Springs, in a land where golf carts roam,…

SATURDAY SIX: Six of our Favorite WDW Snacks Outside of the Theme Parks

by on January 31, 2015

This week’s SATURDAY SIX takes a look at Six of our Favorite WDW Snacks Outside of the Theme Parks. Let’s get this out of the way: we love theme park snacks. We think you know we love theme park snacks, but did you know that there are just as many great treats – if not more – outside of the parks? Today, in part one of planned 27 part series, we’re looking at six of our favorite WDW treats available at the Disney resorts, water parks, and Downtown Disney, starting with…

# 6 – Zebra Domes (Animal Kingdom Lodge)

Zebra Domes are synonymous with the Animal Kingdom Lodge and one of its signature restaurants, Boma. Thankfully, these tasty treats are also available elsewhere at AKL including The Mara and Johari Treasures at Kidani Village. The base of a Zebra Dome is a small layer of cake with a dollop of Amarula liqueur mousse on top of it. The Dome is then coated with white chocolate, while dark chocolate is used to create the zebra stripes. Run, don’t walk. to try this one on your next WDW vacation.
