  • Thanx for the timely vlog!

We’ve decided to give Coronado Springs a try during free food, Aug31-Sept4. I think our room is $220/night (4 nights), and we bought 5-day tixx w/hoppers. Total package is $2,200. Not bad for 3 of us with Standard DDP included.

    Just hope the weather cooperates.

  • My husband and I stayed here last fall. We thoroughly enjoyed the business class amenities. The food wasn’t as laid out as club level at the deluxes, but it was more than sufficient. We most certainly got our money’s worth from that. It was not my favorite resort from a style perspective, but we did appreciate the sliding doors that separate the vanity from the room. Big upgrade from the curtain in other moderates. Being that it’s in the AK area, it seemed really removed from most of the World. long, long bus rides everywhere! Rix lounge was jumping every night!

  • It’s not that expensive! Your own rack rate chart starts at $191, not $324.

      • That’s the same link, the same page. I still see $191 (Jan/early Feb), and lots of $200 to $300. Were you looking only at a particular category? I’m looking at Standard View (standard room). Even today’s date starts at $227.

      • Ah yes, I see what you were looking at.

Our average includes all the types of rooms (standard, suite, club level, etc.). That’s what my disclaimer mentioned in the video.

I can see where we both got confused. Thank you so much for pointing that out!

      • Ah, I see, you spoke in terms of average, not the range. Personally, to me, I like to see the price range of the lowest cost room for a given year. That way I can tell what the least price is to stay at a certain resort. They only go up from there! Of course, it’s also interesting to see just how expensive any resort can get. Thanks for your patience in explaining your numbers to me.
P.S. I will be staying there in a few days, so I was especially interested in this blog.

      • I love these aritelcs. How many words can a wordsmith smith?
