Once again, friends, it’s time to take a look at what’s going on around the Disney community, both at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.  These are the podcasts and websites that we here at TouringPlans.com work with, and we want to make sure you see all the fine work these guys are doing.  So, let’s take a look, shall we?

The WDW Today boys, including our fearless leader Len Testa, spent the week catching up on listener questions.  Listen to three straight shows of answering questions about Walt Disney World planning.

On the WDW Radio Newscast, Lou Mongello discussed the new Free Dining promotion at Walt Disney World, as well as the winner of the Box People logo contest.

The Mousetalgia crew are always an entertaining listen, but this week you have to check out their discussion on the Disney Family Museum and long time Disney star Wally Boag.

On the Be Our Guest Podcast, the crew lamented the fact that they missed some of the classic attractions at Walt Disney World, such as Horizons, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and others.  I got to see these awesome attractions, so I feel for them.

Henry Work, our lead developer as well as many other friends join in everyone’s favorite game show, Win, Fail or Meh on the latest episode of Betamouse.

Ever heard of the Viewliner?  It was one of the shortest lived attractions at Disneyland, and you can find out all about it on Wedway Radio.

In Deb Wills’ All Ears Net Newsletter this week, there was lots of information about discounts at Walt Disney World for the fall, including free dining and Annual Pass discounts.

Mouseplanet keeps you up to date on both coasts every week.  In theDisneyland Update, find out about all the closures at Disney’s California Adventure due to the major rehaul of the front gate area.  Then, in the Walt Disney World Update, there was new information about two of the best events of the year – the Food and Wine Festival and the Candlelight Processional.

Dateline Disneyland gave more info about the DCA changes, as well as the updates on the refurb of the Matterhorn.

And last but not least, Disneyland Live gave some news about the Youth Jazz Celebration moving over to Disneyland.

Those are the podcasts and sites that we work with, but what else is going on out there?  What sort of things did you guys see this week?

These websites and podcasts are affiliated with a TouringPlans.com sponsorship.

  • I read speculation on Stitch Kingdom about an upcoming announcement by Disney on August 19 about a new program called “One More Disney Day.” Specifically, that perhaps it could be a re-do of the Give A Day, Get a Disney Day program from 2010. I hope it is, and can’t wait to hear more. Has anyone else heard what this might entail?
