Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Announced for 2012

Disney has used the official Disney Parks Blog to announce the forthcoming “Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.” This interactive attraction will be added to the Magic Kingdom park in early 2012. Here’s the logo and early concept art they released along with the announcement:

Not a lot of information has been released about the project – this is the first official confirmation that it even exists from Disney – but over at Discussion Kingdom the site owner has been doing a good job of tracking the additions to the park related to the project. They’ve been installing these new set pieces and objects for the game over the last few months. You can find the thread from Discussion Kingdom’s forums with photos of the construction work here.

  • Am I the only one thinking this would have sounded more awesome if it were tied in to the Kingdom Keepers stories?

    • Actually, there is a separate educational program at the Magic Kingdom based on Kingdom Keepers. Ridley Pearson helped design it.

      • Yeah, I saw that. It’d be nice if there were something that regular guests could take part in, though.
