Dumbo the Elephant Now Flying With FASTPASS

Dumbo the Flying Elephant, in the Magic Kingdom‘s New Fantasyland,  is now open with both spinners flying. Also, FASTPASS is now testing for the attraction. Guests may pick up FASTPASS tickets near Mickey’s PhilharMagic.

In addition, a new indoor waiting area is in play-testing and allows children to blow off some steam while waiting for their turns on the attraction.

When the attraction officially opens in July, guests who choose to ride the attraction through the standby queue will be taken into the big top to enjoy the new play area. Guests who choose to use a FASTPASS ticket will bypass the tent and go straight to fly with Dumbo.

Will you have Dumbo FASTPASS as an option on the personalized touring plans soon?

In addition to this new info on Dumbo, I see touring plans has Under the Sea – The Journey of the Little Mermaid on the refurb schedule with an expected opening date of 12/2/12. Is this just a placeholder/estimate on your part or is this a date released by Disney? I have not seen this information anywhere else. Thanks.

This is a placeholder. All Disney has said is that Under the Sea will be open “by the holidays” in 2012, and that’s all we know.

Wow, it is weird but I actually want to save my fast pass for Peter Pan and try the new queue. Never thought I would say that.
