One of the things people get excited for during Star Wars Weekends, which takes place select weekends in May and June at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, is the opportunity to meet some of their favorite Star Wars celebrities. The list of stars is always eclectic and often includes celebrities who were in the first trilogy, the second trilogy, the Clone Wars, and Star Wars Rebels.

Today the full list of celebrities who are scheduled to appear at this year’s event were announced and it’s a great looking list. Personally, I am surprised that we aren’t seeing anyone yet for Star Wars VII, but I’m sure that will change next year, after the movie comes out and we have a better understanding of who the newer characters are.

This year’s list of celebrities include:

Weekend I (May 15 – 17)

  • Ian McDiarmid: Senator/Emperor Palpatine (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace; Star Wars: Attack of the Clones; Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi)
  • Amy Allen: Aayla Secura (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith)
  • Tiya Sircar: Sabine Wren (Star Wars Rebels)

Weekend II (May 22 – 24)

  • Warwick Davis: Wald, Wicket W. Warrick (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace; Star Wars: Return of the Jedi)
  • Silas Carson: Ki-Adi-Mundi, Nute Gunray (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace; Star Wars: Attack of the Clones; Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith)
  • Vanessa Marshall: Hera Syndulla (Star Wars Rebels)

Weekend III (May 29 – 31)

  • Peter Mayhew: Chewbacca (Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith; Star Wars: A New Hope; Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back; Star Wars: Return of the Jedi)
  • Taylor Gray: Ezra Bridger (Star Wars Rebels)

There is one very welcome change for those wishing to meet celebrities during this year’s Star Wars Weekends–the meet and greets will take place indoors! The new location will be located just off Commissary Lane near Star Tours – The Adventure Continues. Yay for no longer having to be a sweaty mess for your selfies with the celebs!

In order to meet any of the celebrities during the Weekends, keep in mind that Disney will be utilizing FASTPASS tickets. Guests will need to arrive early to obtain a FASTPASS, as only a limited number are available per celebrity. FASTPASS tickets and wristbands can be obtained at the main entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, to the right of the turnstiles. Each guest must be present to receive a FASTPASS ticket; you may not obtain FASTPASS tickets for other members of your party. Your FASTPASS will indicate your autograph return time. When it’s time to return to meet the celebrity, you must proceed to the Celebrity Autograph location, and you must show your FASTPASS wristband and present your FASTPASS ticket.

Once all the FASTPASS bands have been distributed for the day, stand-by tickets may be issued, but do keep in mind that those do not guarantee you the chance to meet the celebrity.

Of course, returning as the celebrity host of Star Wars Weekends will be James Arnold Taylor. He will be hosting a few shows during the event, including a brand new one called “Star Wars: Rebels.” Here Guests will get to relive the the first season of the series “Star Wars: Rebels.” The show will feature a special guest from the show’s voice cast and likely a surprise or two.

Also, Ashley Eckstein will also be on hand every day of the event as the host of “Padawan Mind Challenge – Family Edition.”

Do keep in mind that the celebrities are subject to change.

Details about the event have just started rolling out and I’ll be sure to share additional updates with you!  The best part about Star Wars Weekends? It’s included in your Disney’s Hollywood Studios admission.  Oh and to see everything you want to see, we’ve recently updated our Touring Plans, so make sure to check them out!

Will you be putting the SWW parade and shows into the system for the personalized plans? I’m using breaks now but would love to have the entertainment listed at the correct times and locations.

On a related note – one feature that would be really great would be to override the default arrival time for a show. So instead of arriving at a show or parade 15 minutes ahead, you could tell it you want to arrive 30 minutes or 2 hours early. It can be done now with breaks, of course, but it would be a lot less hassle.

    Thanks.

Thanks for adding the SWW events to the personalized plans list. One correction – the Motorcade is at 11am this year not 11:30 (per Shawn at DPB).
