Universal Crowd Calendar Report – March 29 to April 4, 2015

Universal Crowds matched the crowd calendar predictions last Sunday through Wednesday although crowds were slightly lower than expected when the weekend arrived. Both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure saw heavy crowds throughout the week thanks to Spring Break visitors flocking to Central Florida.

As is typical with Spring Break crowds, last Sunday’s crowds were not quite as high as we saw during the week. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit averaged 40 minutes while Spider-Man averaged 39.

By Monday, the real Spring Break crowds rolled in and we saw both parks increase by two index levels compared to Sunday.

Level ‘9’s for both parks on Tuesday which means averages like 68 minutes at Transformers: The Ride-3D and 35 minutes at Jurassic Park River Adventure.

Crowds were extreme at both parks on Wednesday, April 1st and that’s no joke. The longest average waits were at Despicable Me (87 minutes) and Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls (77 minutes).

More level ‘9’s on Thursday, one level lower than the Universal Crowd Calendar predicted for both parks. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey led the way with an average wait of 67 minutes.
