Universal Crowd Calendar Report – April 19 to 25, 2015

Last week, other than Wednesday and Saturday wait times were a couple points lower than the Universal Crowd Calendar predicted. No park reached a crowd level higher than a level ‘6’ on our scale, good news for guests who visited the resort. It seems clear that the Spring Break season has ended and we have entered the post-Easter lull that should last from now through Memorial Day weekend.

Sunday’s crowd levels were one level lower than the Universal Crowd Calendar predicted at both parks. Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem had the highest average wait at 47 minutes.

Monday’s crowds were level ‘3’ at both parks. That translates to average wait times like 15 minutes at The Simpson’s Ride and 18 minutes at Jurassic Park River Adventure.

Tuesday’s waits were no higher than the first two days of the week. A 14-minute average at Rip Ride Rockit and a 22-minute average at The Incredible Hulk Coaster.

Wednesday ended up being the lowest crowds of the week at Universal Parks, especially at Islands of Adventure where we saw an average wait of 21 minutes at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Saturday’s crowd was slightly higher than what we saw during the week but still manageable for most guests. Transformers: The Ride-3D had the highest average wait at 66 minutes.

Once Easter passes by on the calendar crowd levels tend to dip to below average levels until Memorial Day in late May. We expect a few weeks of decent wait times at both Universal Parks.
