Yet another piece of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ entertainment offerings will soon be a part of Disney history. Announced today via Facebook, the popular band, Mulch, Sweat, & Shears will officially be putting away their gardening shears and guitars. The band’s last day at The Studios will be on October 10.

Mulch, Sweat, & Shears is a fan favorite, who perform under the guise that they are landscaping “brothers” who perform as a rock n’ roll cover band, performing everything from  AC/DC, to Journey, and more. The band would interact with guests by often inviting them up to be a part of the act. They would often be found in the Streets of America, however on holidays, they could be found performing on the main stage.

The band is known as Los Lawn Boys outside of Walt Disney World property. On October 8, the band will celebrate their 11 year anniversary.

  • Do we think the final day will follow the normal schedule – meaning the LAST show will be at 3:30? Making a special trip and hoping for a little Van Halen!

  • One Man’s Dream, Osbourne Lights and now Mulch, Sweat and Shears!! Is nothing I love at DHS safe??!! Please don’t let Muppets go too!

  • At the end of this entry, I expected to see “Just kidding.” What is Disney thinking? These guys are great, and they’re one of the reasons to go to Hollywood Studios. There’s not enough to do at Hollywood Studios as it is.

Maybe they will reappear at Universal under another name.
