Disneyland Crowd Calendar Report – September 27 to October 3, 2015

How Did the Disneyland Crowd Calendar Do Last Week?
How Did the Disneyland Crowd Calendar Do Last Week?

Last week, crowds at both Disneyland parks were within one index point of what the Disneyland Crowd Calendar predicted every day except for Saturday when we saw wait times surge at both parks. Although crowds were up throughout September it appears that October crowds may be more in line with what we have seen historically.

Let’s look at how the crowd levels stacked up each day last week on the TouringPlans.com Disneyland Resort Crowd Report:

We were in Disneyland Oct 1 – 4; the crowds on the 3rd were crazy. It was literally hard to walk near Rivers of America and the line for Haunted Mansion went on forever. Even early entry (7 am) had higher crowds than I’d ever seen at a weekend early entry. It was Gay Days in Disneyland Park and we saw tons of people in red shirts — could it be that that event is gaining enough popularity to make a big difference on the crowd calendar? Of course with a touring plan, a mid-day break, and some patience we had a great time, but we did have to wait over an hour to get a picture with Captain America, which was a bummer.

We arrived on Saturday for a 5 day stay and were only in the park about an hour before giving up and heading back to the hotel. It was INSANELY crowded. Luckily Sunday in California Adventure was better and Monday morning in Disneyland was pretty dead at rope drop.
