MagicBandDisney has decided to adjust the time in which Guests can begin to make their FastPass+ reservations for their vacations. Prior to today, Guests were able to book their reservations beginning at 12:00 a.m. EST in advance of their trip, however, as of today, the FastPass+ selection window will now be open for Guests at 7:00 a.m. EST within their applicable window.

The manner in which FastPass+ selections are made will still remain the same. Guests who are staying onsite at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel will still have the ability to make their FastPass+ reservations up to 60 days in advance and Guests who are staying off-site, but have their ticket medium purchased will continue to be able to book reservations up to 30 days prior.

This change was made in order to allow Guests to make their FastPass+ selections at a more convenient time of the day, instead of making them in the middle of the night. This also means that Guests who are having trouble making their reservations can now contact Disney at that time, instead of having to wait until the morning with any issues they may be having.

Just one month ago, Disney made a change with the fourth rolling FastPass and now allow Guests to make this FastPass by utilizing the app after they have used their first three. In addition, Guests no long have to make three FastPass selections when scheduling their reservations and they now have the ability to choose what times they would like to make them for, instead of Disney telling you times and you having to go back to change them, should you want to shuffle them around.

It is certainly interesting to watch as FastPass+ continues to evolve. I’ll make sure to keep you posted on any further changes to this system.

  • It is still the middle of the night for those of us in the Pacific time zone.

  • 10 pm was far more convenient for me than 5 am. I don’t like this at all.

    Do dolphin guests get 60+10?

  • I’m in the central time zone and I much preferred 11:00pm to 6:00am.

  • I have a question about the 2 reservations that can be made in advance. Once we are in the park and have used those 2 reservations, will we then be allowed to make our 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc reservations from the app? Or will we still have to book 3 ahead of time in order to get the rolling ones in the park? Thanks.

  • Yuck. This is more inconvenient for those of us in the Central time zone. At least the nighttime hours are not during the time when most people are either at work/school or getting ready to leave for work/school.

The expected slew of craziness upon the unveiling of Soarin’, Frozen in Norway, RoL & AK night attractions, etc… 7DMT crashed the system, as these likely will.
Having the phones open won’t help much, because they’ll still need to access the system.
These new rides will help even out attendance across the parks, though.

  • How will the rolling extra work at parks with the tiered system if you choose one or two initially?

  • I’m in the Eastern time zone, but I also find this change inconvenient. 7:00am is smack in the middle of getting kids up and packed off for the bus. I’d rather be able to make FPP reservations at midnight when there are no kids or job obligations to pull me away. Even 6:00am would be better so I could do it before the morning madness starts.

  • The new time doesn’t work for those of us in the UK either. 5am wasn’t great but 12 noon is extremely difficult.

  • With the MDE Android app I was still able to book FP reservations at midnight for the next 30/60 day.
Today at 12:30am: 22th July was inactive on my PC, but was available in the MDE app.
