Guests will also be able to enjoy a bite from a variety of food trucks that will be open to serve.

Also new for 2016 will be FanFest at the Jostens Center. FanFest will include a fun, interactive area that includes video games, 60 second challenges, Imagination Playground and oversized versions of popular games such as foosball, connect four and chess. At FanFest, Guests will also be able to enjoy hilarious jokes from great Christian comedians.

Want to meet Disney characters? You’ll be able to meet Mickey, Minnie, and some of their friends from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. each night.

On Saturday night only, FanFest will also include an opportunity for Guests to participate in multiple question and answers sessions with some of the top artists who will be appearing at Night of Joy. These stars may also be available for photo opportunities and potentially play some games with Guests.

Of course, you’ll want to pick up exclusive Night of Joy merchandise which will be available for purchase.

Entrance to Night of Joy requires a valid special ticket and this year, Guests have more ticket options than ever before. Options include:

  • A single-night ticket for Friday’s concerts – $39 plus tax (in advance); $45 the day of the show (if available).

  • This will be my first time at Night of Joy. Do you know if there will be Photopass photographers there? I’m thinking especially for the meet & greets, etc… it might be worthwhile for me to buy Memory Maker if they will be there.

  • I understand what you’re saying, but it’s just like any other hard ticket event. Just cause it’s not content you might not care for. It is only 2 nights unlike Not so Scary or Very Merry. It even has the same time schedule. It’s only affecting one park for 2 nights a year.

    • I don’t really see it as being a hard ticket event more like a group renting out the park and then selling tickets to make up the cost of it.

  • I’ve never really understood this event and why it gets held in the Disney parks. They don’t for example have AC/DC nights or rock and roll nights I kind of in the parks and this is Disney saying look we’ve let you do it in the parks but our day and resort guest want to use them more now.

    • Disney has it for the same reason they have all the different special events like foot & wine, marathons weekends, flower and garden, star wars weekend, Christmas lights, villian’s, candelight processional, etc – they try to draw people to their parks who have diverse interests. If a particular event doesn’t make sense to you then you were not the target audience for the event.

I know some people who are going to Disney this year for the first time because of the night of joy event. Disney I’m sure is hoping these people will get a taste of Disney magic and want to keep coming back for more of it.

  • I’m so sad they moved this out if the parks. Been going for 20 years. One of the coolest things was seeing your favorite band perform on the castle forecourt stage. The expanded hub is now even better suited for this. I sure hope it gets returned.
