Campfires at Walt Disney World Cancelled Due to Dry Weather Conditions

It’s been pretty dry in the Orlando area lately. Matter of fact, if you have followed social media or any of the Orlando news sites, you will have noticed that a number of fires have broken out all over town due to the lack of rain. Thanks to these dry weather conditions, there are now fire restrictions that are being enforced throughout Central Florida.

So what does this mean for Walt Disney World? Well, because of this restriction, campfires at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels are currently not taking place as scheduled. Resorts that are impacted include:

• Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
• Disney’s Beach Club Resort
• Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
• Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
• Disney’s Contemporary Resort
• Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
• Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
• Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
• Disney’s Old Key West Resort
• Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
• Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter
• Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside
• Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
• Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
• Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Currently, it is unknown when the campfire activities will be able to resume. Other resort recreation activities will continue to be held as normal.
