  • Something is obviously in the works at EPCOT. MK got a new fantasy land a few years ago; AK just got Pandora; HS is getting Star Wars and Toy Story lands by the end of the decade (hopefully). EPCOT will be getting its turn early to mid 2020s.

    • At EPCOT. Universe of Energy is going away. What is going to replace it?
I’m thinking it could go a couple of ways. A Tron Coaster ride..a Guardian of the Galaxy ride.
Or if they keep the EPCOT idea..a motion controlled (Indiana Jones) ride system, or a programmable “LPS” (like Mystic Mannor…Pooh’s Honey Pots) for a trip through ‘Energy’…the Atom, the Earth, and Space for Solar.
It’s a big show building and if they want to save the structure..the trackless individual ride system would be the way the cheapest way to go. Basically it’s a large warehouse with automatic carts going through set pieces.

  • Ellen’s gotta go. My family uses the ride for a nap every time we’re at Epcot. Sorry! How about the Mummy ride at Universal Studios? When will they replace Brendan Fraser with Tom Cruise? The new movie is coming out soon afterall and with the studios intent to create a dark universe, it would be weird to continue seeing the old footage.
