  • Are you a Dooney & Bourke fan? The new collection, with pieces inspired by Princess Tiana and by the Haunted Mansion, will debut in the parks on July 22nd! Meet the company’s creative director at the Marketplace Co-op in Disney Springs from 10:30am – 12:00pm.
  • It’s still Christmas in July at Disney Springs. Enjoy holiday treats, festive face-painting, and a special meet and greet with Santa himself. You’ll find him at Disney’s Days of Christmas from 1:00pm – 10:00pm.

  • Thank you for the info! Any idea what the car seat situation is for Minnie Vans – do they provide car seats or is that the guest’s responsibility? Or are they considered “shuttles” and are not required by law?

  • Use the Minnie Vans? Absolutely when I am visiting with my 80+ year old parents. This is the perfect solution to allow us to have nice dinners at other resorts and then get back to AKL without tiring them out by multiple (usually noisy and chaotic) bus rides. And this is cheaper and easier than renting a car when just 2-4 such trips are needed, and infinitely safer than Uber/Lyft, with no fear of their stupid and gouging pricing variability.

I think they’ll do really well. Guests are already loving the complimentary rides and I think it’ll do really well when operations officially begin next week.

  • I’m very excited about the Minnie Vans! Took a Mears cab on our last trip (Uber wasn’t hot yet) and it was just ok. We have two early morning ADR’s at other resorts in Oct/Nov, so this is a perfect solution for us!!!

  • Any word on the app? Will it be integrated into MDE, or will it be a separate app?

    • from what I understood, you’ll have to use the Lyft app to gain access to the Minnie Vans and also pay through the app as well.

Like Marlon said, I’ve heard that you’ll be able to use the Lyft app to request a ride. I really hope they switch to MyDisneyExperience at some point though. It would be so nice to have everything all in one app!

      Great question!

  • Any idea how guests were able to get complimentary rides. We will be at BLT this upcoming week and are planning on using Uber or Lyft for transportation to Blizzard Beach.

That’s a great question. From what I’ve seen, the complimentary rides are first-come, first-served from 3 resorts and that you couldn’t request one yet.

Since operations officially begin next Wednesday, you should be able to use the Lyft app to request one. Only difference is that you’ll have to pay :-/

      Have a great trip!
