One of the most popular events that takes place during the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort is the making of hand-pulled candy canes. It is not only entertaining to watch in the window, but they are also delicious to purchase. There is one small caveat though. The candy canes are in limited quantities! Very limited quantities.

The making of candy canes has been around for 49 years, since 1968 and they are made completely from scratch. This includes the mixing the ingredients and hand-pulling the candy to rolling, twisting and wrapping up the final products which end up measuring 18 inches long.

You’ll find these hand-pulled treats at the following locations on the following dates going forward:

Candy Palace: November 29; December 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 24
Trolley Treats: November 28; December 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 25

Keep in mind that there are a limited number of candy canes that will be available. In order to obtain a candy cane, you must get a wristband and wristbands will be distributed at park opening. Wristbands are limited, available while supplies last. There will be a limit of one wristband per guest and the wristband entitles bearer to purchase one candy cane at the designated location that candy canes will be sold at per day. To purchase your candy cane, wristband must be shown at time of purchase.

Purchasing these treats is often a tradition for many who visit the Disneyland Resort. Is it a tradition for yours?

  • LOVE THESE! My wife and I always celebrate our anniversary around the first week of December at Disney (usually Florida), but were fortunate enough to celebrate our first anniversary at Disneyland a couple years ago and go the candy canes. We are heading back on Thursday this year for our anniversary trip and the first thing I always have written down are the days and locations to get the wristbands for candy canes! Don’t worry… once we get ours, we do not go back and try to get more on subsequent days… we believe that it is better to let other people also experience it as much as possible!
